Rules
I had so many rules for myself growing up. Here are just a few:
- Don’t worry about other people’s business.
- Don’t date guy friends.
- Don’t fall for friends’ exes.
- Don’t go out with or even act interested in someone your friend wants.
- Don’t date exes friends.
- Don’t lend money to people you don’t trust.
- Don’t give people your trust until they’ve earned it.
- Don’t lie.
- Don’t steal.
- Don’t cheat.
- Don’t drink.
- Don’t do drugs.
- Don’t lay down when hanging out with guy friends.
- Don’t date married men.
- Don’t go on a second date unless the guy is interesting.
- Don’t go on a third date unless you can see the particular guy in your future.
- Don’t date someone who repulses you.
- Don’t do blind dates.
- Don’t let a guy stay the night in your bedroom.
- Don’t date someone you can’t be attracted to.
- Don’t date lazy bumholes.
- Don’t let a guy know you’re head over heels for him if you are.
Needless to say, I’ve broken some of these. The ones I’ve certainly kept pertain to lying, stealing, and cheating.
so so SO similar to my own set of “rules” give or take a few. (although I hate that concept, i like ‘morals’ much better). alas, life and love has gotten the best of me more times then I’d like to admit. and the only ‘rules’ i still strongly abide by deal with honesty and being faithful to friendships: friend’s crushs are strictly off limit, as are ex’s friends. hey, rules are made to be broken, right?
